Alisha, a Minnesota native, brings extensive design/build expertise and a unique perspective to the real estate industry. This multi-talented Real Estate Advisor steps up to the plate when it comes to finding clients their dream home. Alisha has worn may hats during her life — wife, mother, TEDx speaker, author, Emmy-nominated TV personality, interior designer, and University of Minnesota Alum. Her firsthand understanding of the importance of home comes from her time spent in the minor leagues with her husband, 3x MLB All Star pitcher Glen Perkins. As an outside-the-box thinker, who values family above all, Alisha’s passion for the pursuit of “home” runs deep. Her extensive knowledge of the area, combined with her Norwegian-inspired pursuit of the hygge lifestyle, positions her as the ideal real estate professional to guide you through the process of finding your perfect space.

Along with her father- Kurt, together they own Dovetail Builders & Design. A unique father/daughter design and build operation with an emphasis on turning a house into a home and making sure it tells your story. They have taken on many projects including homes, offices, and even an 1858 B&B renovation where they were featured on Miss INNdependent and nominated for an emmy.

Her first and only non-fiction book Running Home was released May 31st, 2016. A story of dealing with mental illness in a world full of insane stigma.

​

In September of 2019, she released her first fiction novel, MARTYRED. A feminist thriller where cultural misogyny meets the power of female friendships. Her second fiction book, NOT THAT GIRL, launched August 10th, 2020 and became a debut best seller.

Alisha gets to count herself among the very few authors who have achieve best-seller status in both fiction and non-fiction.

​

Other writing has appeared in Women's Running, Huffington Post, Like the Wind Magazine, Fitness Most Magazine, Scary Mommy, Another Mother Runner, The Red Current, Minneapolis Running, Star Tribune, Girls with Sole, and Minnesota Twins Magazine.

 

She gave her first TEDX talk entitled "How Many Celebrities Does it Take to Change a Stigma" in May 2019, centering around breaking the stigma surrounding mental illness in our society.
